Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer

Presented to laboratory employee(s) who have accomplished outstanding work in the process of transferring federally developed technology to the marketplace.

• FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, “Microscale Combustion Calorimetric Analysis of Polymers and for Milligram Samples”

• Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, “Information Extraction: Technology and Applications”

• Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, “Miniature Integrated Nuclear Detection System (MINDS)”

Regional Appreciation Award

Presented to an individual, not a direct employee of a government owned and operated (GOGO) or a government owned contractor operated (GOCO) organization, who has made a significant contribution to the federal technology transfer program.

• Dr. Joseph File, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (posthumous)
• Dr. Stanley Smith, S.H. Smith Associates
• Dorry Tooker, Brookhaven National Laboratory (retired)

The 2006 Northeast Region award winners will be honored September 20 during a special presentation at the regional meeting.
